
CIFNET -Central Institute of Fisheries offering courses in nautical engineering and now they are inviting applications for the following courses. CIFNET is offering two-year trade courses Vessel Navigator and Marine Filter, and also four-year Bachelor of Fishers (Nautical Science).
Eligibility: Students should have finished Intermediate with 50 per cent marks in Mathematics and English, and 50 per cent aggregate marks in science. Students who satisfy the above mentioned criteria can apply for the above mentioned courses.
And those students who have passed class X are also eligible to apply for the trade courses. Age limit is 20 years and students belonging to SC and ST communities have five years age relaxation for trade courses. Selected candidates will get a monthly stipend of Rs.700 for the two-year programs.
Admissions for bachelor programme are done on basis of rank obtained in written test which will be held on June 7 at Kochi. Students will be tested under following categories English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and general science. For Trade courses admission will be based on written test rank, which will be held on June 21 at Chennai, Kochi, and Visakhapatnam. Students will be tested under following categories English, Mathematics and general science.
